Try these 4 easy stretches to manage your back pain!

1. Lower Back Flexion

  • Lower Back Flexion stretch improves your lumbar mobility and decreases lower back pain.
  • Hold the stretch for 5 seconds. Release and repeat 10 times.

Be sure to stop if you feel worsening pain as you are stretching.

2. Towel Hamstring Stretch

  • Towel Hamstring stretch can help reduce tension in the hamstring muscle and lower back.
  • Hold the stretch for 30 seconds. Release and repeat 3 times per side.

Be sure to stop if you feel worsening pain as you are stretching.

3. Figure Four Stretch

  • Figure Four stretch helps relieve pain and tightness in your buttocks as well as lower back.
  • Hold the stretch for 30 seconds. Release and repeat for the other side.

Be sure to stop if you feel worsening pain as you are stretching.

4. Kneeling Lunge Stretch

  • Kneeling Lunge stretch helps loosen your hip flexor muscles as tight hip flexors will heighten back pain.
  • Hold the stretch for 30 seconds. Release and repeat for the other side.
